Lawson Single-drum Aerators are designed primarily for aeration, but because of their size and weight, they can chop light brush. In its no-till fashion and spiral blade design, the ground is left smooth. See more detail on the Product Page.
Lawson Tandem Aerators are multi-purpose units for aeration, renovation, creating perfect seed beds, land clearing and leveling - all in one pass - saving both fuel and time. The no-till application leaves the ground smooth.
With its off-set capability, you can determine the aggressiveness - ranging from the finest hayfield simulation and aeration to heavy renovation and land clearing. Clears up to 6'' diameter brush. Its versatility offers a complete pasture maintenance package for cattlemen and dairymen. See more detail on the Product Page.
Lawson Manufacturing, Inc has an enduring reputation for total integrity, quality and design ingenuity, making Lawson an undisputed leader in the agricultural industry.
Setting out to improve his ranchland, a primary goal for Marc Lawson was to turn pasture aeration into greater profit and efficiency. In addition to owning a vastly successful cattle operation and sod farm, Lawson continues to produce aerators that are the most sought after in the industry.

KFYR North Dakota reporting on how the Lawson Aerator is used successfully on CRP Land.
Eddy County Soil Conservation District - 2008 Field Day
Over 100 producers attended the field day to see Eddy County's 14 x 30 Tandem Aerator. Their machine is equipped with an optional L-144 drop seeder.
This video features a 12' x 42'' tandem Lawson Aerator used out West.
The customer purchased the unit to assist in the restoration of his land.
Prior to the deliver of the Lawson Aerator the customer ripped the acreage two different directions thus bringing large slabs of hardpan to the surface. The aerator was not only able to crush the hardpan with little effort, but also smooth/level the ground for truck access.
This video shows three aspects of a typical 16' x 30'' Lawson Aerator:
> A 6'' x 10'' x 1/2 steel main frame. Weight of the frame is in excess of 6,000 lbs.
> Two 30'' drums that hold 150 blades per drum. These blades are AR500 Abrasion Resistant Steel commonly used by the Department of Defense for improving vehicle armor.
> 4'' Solid cold-rolled round axles. 28 years of refinement shows a solid axle extending the length of the drum provides high durability while evenly adding weight to ensure proper blade penetration. (note: The weight of the axle material alone is 42lbs per foot)
A typical machine takes on average 200 man hours to build. Product lead time fluctuates according to season; spring orders typically take 45 days - winter orders 21 days. Shipping is not included in the above estimates. An average of 7 days should be added depending on your location.
This video features a 12' x 72'' Roller with scrapper. A local producer needed a smaller roller for his yard - Mrs. Lawson shown between the two rollers.
The Lawson Land Roller levels ground more efficiently because of its extra-heavy weight. This means more pounds per square inch to compact better and firmer behind sprigging or seeding pastures.
Optional scraper keeps the drum clean for even compacting. See the Product Page for more detail.
