Our goal is to exceed customer expectations by building equipment tough enough to endure all conditions and applications.

Our self-sharpening AR500 angled steel blades (min. ½” thick) are welded and gusseted to the drums. Designed to work in all soil conditions – sandy, heavy-clay and rocky.

All Lawson products are built with solid axles only – no stub axles. In rough, uneven ground, solid axles allow the entire unit to absorb shock – not sending trauma to any one bearing. It increases its leveling capability and adds to the extra-heavy weight to accomplish the biggest jobs.

Four-bolt flange double-tapered roller bearings are used to support axles. Endplates are reinforced with stiffeners for added support and strength.

For easy transport, single-drum and tandem aerators have dual hydraulic wheels. 8-ply agricultural tires are standard for single-drums (aircraft tires optional). Tandem drums are standard with 26-ply aircraft tires. Heavy-duty hubs and spindles are standard on all units. All hydraulic cylinders are equipped with 2” rams.

Tandem C-frames are reinforced with ¾” plate. Mainframes are double-gusseted. 1 ¼” and 1 ½” grade 8 gang bolts attach C-frames onto mainframe.

Ladder bars are added across the mainframe side beams for added stability on 16’ wide 30” tandems and all 42” tandems. When clearing larger diameter trees and brush, stump deflectors protect tandem C-frames by shifting the aerators aside.

Clevis hitches are standard on single-drum aerators with jacks on tongue for easy mounting to the tractor. On hydraulically operating tongues, dozer hitches are standard on all tandems, designed to be pulled by either tractors or bulldozers.

For one-pass overseeding and planting, broadcast seed packages are available on single-drums and tandems. Package includes electric broadcast seeder, seed box to carry approx. one ton extra bagged seed, seeder stand and hitch. The seeder has a rheostat so you can adjust the throw 5’ to 15’ wide. A toggle switch is provided for easy “on and off” at tractor seat or cab.

For larger acreages, hydraulic Drop Seeders are mounted on tandem units – our Native Grass Drop Seeder designed for hairy, fluffy seed (warm season grasses) and our L-144 for all smooth-hulled seed (example rye, wheat, oats, clover, etc). These Drop Seeders are positioned atop and between the two drums. The first drum prepares the ground, the seed it dropped, and the back drum seals in the seed. Because it is a no-till system, the seed will not be buried.
